Student Ministry

What is Life Like?

Life Like is more than a youth group; it’s a movement of teenagers experiencing God and the mentality of seeking what it is to be like him. Jesus once said, “I am the Way the Truth and the Life”.  And as a group we are simply trying to emulate “the Life,” who happens to be the only perfect example we have of life. Jesus is our model and first love.

Life Like is the weekly gathering of the New Life Student Ministry. We’re dedicated to providing a place for students  to connect with God, with other students, and with older committed leaders that are invested in seeing students grow closer to Christ. We want to engage and reach youth culture, so New Life has an environment each week for students to meet Christ and grow closer to Him.

When can my student attend Life Like?

Why should my student visit Life Like?
We show students something they rarely see. We call it “Coolunity”, an atmosphere of equality where individuals feel equal in value and social status. We are trying to create a place that every teenager that walks into our doors is welcomed into the group, no matter how they are treated at school.  We believe everyone is equally cool and this unifies us, while allowing students to be comfortable being who God made them to be. It’s hard for teenagers to make good friends, so we provide the grounds to make those connections, all they while being encouraged, taught, supported, prayed for, loved on, and discipled by our staff of volunteers.
